Dark City Poets Society

The Dark City Poets Society (DCPS) is a completely free poetry group based out of the Black Mountain Library. The DCPS was founded in 2020 by local writer, Clint Bowman, and Library Director, Melisa Pressley. The DCPS offers two free programs each month- a monthly critique meeting on the first Thursday of the month from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the Black Mountain Library, and a poetry reading called Poetry Night at Oak & Grist Distillery on the on the third Tuesday of each month from 6:00-7:30 p.m. 

No registration is required for either program and both are open to writers of all ages and experience levels.
